Cauliflower Steak and Asparagus with Homemade Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp dried oregano or basil (optional)
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
1 tsp sugar (optional, to balance acidity)
Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir.
Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
Let simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Taste and add sugar if needed.
Serve over pasta or pizza or as a dipping sauce.
