SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - One man is dead following a car crash in Springfield Thursday evening. Urban League of Springfield celebrates 112 years of service to the community The Springfield Police Department states a man riding a bike was hit on Parker and Verge Streets at approximate ly 5:15 p.m. The man died due to his injuries and his identity has not yet been released. MAP: Parker and Verge Street The driver got out of his car and took off on foot. A search is underway for the person driving that car.
