WINTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — The Winston-Salem Police Department is investigating after an 18-year-old suspect was accused of leading them on a chase and evading custody. At around 4:02 a.m. on Friday, officers say that they attempted to pull a car over that was being driven by 18-year-old Josep h Michael Gray. Investigators say that Gray reversed into the officers' patrol cars and a chase began at the intersection of University Parkway and Shattalon Drive. The chase came to an end when Gray jumped out of the car and ran near the intersection of Appomattox Drive and Harpers Ferry Road Despite the use of a K-9 officer and a drone, police were not able to locate Gray.
