ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — In just six days, the executive order for 25% tariffs on auto imports will take effect. Brad McAreavy - the President of the Rochester Automobile Dealers Association told News 8 on Thursday that right now there are obvious concerns, but they won't have an immediate im pact. McAreavy said dealers usually have 60 to 70% of supply on their lots at any given point, "so they probably have a couple of months' worth of inventory. Not likely to have an immediate impact on the dealers or the consumers." However, he adds "Once they turn that inventory and the tariffs go into effect and stay in, dealers will then start replenishing their inventorying and that's when we can see a price increase."
