HS Softball Wrap: Pennsbury finding its stride after tough start to season

FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa. — Following a couple of tough outings, it looks like the Pennsbury High School softball team is finding its stride.
The latest example occurred on Thursday afternoon when Pennsbury crushed Bensalem, 16-1, to up its record to 3-2.
Kylie Dressel got the win with a three-hitter. B
ella Morales remained hot with a 3-for-3. In her last nine at bats, she has eight hits and a walk. Jenna Thompson also had three hits and doubled along with Chloe Link and Gia Ranniello.

HOLLAND, Pa. — Julia Scannapieco got the start in this one and she responded with a two-hitter and eight strikeouts. Jenna Pesepante was 3-for-4, and Kelly Delise, and Victoria Herzog each had two hits. Rock South (4-1) hosts Conwell-Egan on Friday afternoon.

QUAKERTOWN, Pa. — Brianna Slack struck out six and threw a no-hitter in three innings of work. Amirah Bell was 4-for-4 with a triple and five RBIs. The red hot Grace Boyle and Slack slammed home runs. Boyle and Lily Gonzalez doubled, and Cayleigh Januszka also tripled.

LAWRENCEVILLE — The Raiders held on for a win in a season opener for both teams. Sam Jolly led Hun with a double and triple. Lawrenceville got two hits by Beilla Devine, Hayley Weigand, pitcher Emma Sung and freshman Lily Sung. Lawrenceville will be at Bristol Saturday.
