Libertas Academy Charter School Enters Brand New Facility in Springfield
Mar 27, 2025
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday at Libertas Academy Charter School.
There staff, students, and families gathered to celebrate the new opportunities. The ceremony included a performance from the school's drum team.
"Prior to being in this facility, we had
very limited facilities. Just classrooms and a very small cafeteria. We have significantly expanded our gymnasium, added two science labs, a dance studio, large cafeteria, conference rooms, and just a lot more space for our students to engage in our college prep curriculum" sats Modesto Montero-Forman, the Founder and executive director of Libertas Academy Charter School.
The Academy educates students in sixth through 12 grades. This year they will send off the first graduating class of seniors.
The school runs on a lottery system. Those interested have two more opportunities for the fall. One in May and another in June. Families can register in person at the school or click here to learn more.
