2 arrested after shots fired incident, police chase

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a shots fired incident in the capital city Thursday evening.
Officers were called to the intersection of Shiloh and Hyacinth streets to investigate reports of shots fired in the neighborhood.
Police said officers wh
o were already nearby heard the gunfire and saw a vehicle speed off.
The officers chased the vehicle briefly until police said the driver and passenger crashed and abandoned it and took off running. 12 News spotted a car with significant front-end damage at the corner of Admiral Street and Douglas Avenue.
Both suspects were quickly apprehended and a firearm was recovered, according to police. Neither have been identified and it's unclear what charges they will be facing.
No one was hit by gunfire and the incident remains under investigation at this time.
