(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A semi truck dragged a 300-pound landscaping boulder several city blocks through Downtown Colorado Springs on Thursday, March 27. According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), dispatchers originally received a call around 10:30 a.m. about a traffic collision i n the area of East Fountain Boulevard and South Weber Street. CSPD said the investigation revealed a semi truck hauling a trailer ran over a 300-pound landscaping boulder that then got caught beneath the trailer. CSPD said the truck continued driving, dragging the boulder north on Weber Street and then heading west on Cimarron. The boulder finally became dislodged on Cimarron Street near the I-25 interchange. According to CSPD, officers were able to locate and contact the driver of the semi truck, and there was no damage to the truck or trailer, and no injuries reported.
