ALAMOGORDO, N.M. (KRQE) — The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a late evening crash between a pedestrian and a vehicle on Wednesday. Police say it happened in the area of Tramway Boulevard Northeast and Cloudview Avenue Northeast. Investigators say two women were walking along the south shoulder of Tramway north of Cloudview. A Buick SUV going south on Tramway struck one of the woman, who died. The vehicle fled the area. Police say they found the driver — Jonathan Gallegos, 38. According to APD, he admitted to drinking before driving, though investigators are still waiting on the blood results.
