NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Another warm night is on the way tonight as lows only drop into the mid 60s by Friday morning. Expect winds to pick up through the day Friday ahead of the next storm system. Winds will be in the 15-20 range with higher gusts. Friday will be warm with low 80s.
We have a cha
nce for a few showers to pop up later Friday afternoon. However most rain chances come in late Friday night into early Saturday as a system moves in from the west. It looks like we see a batch of locally heavy rain Saturday morning, then more hit or miss activity by Saturday afternoon.
While widespread flooding is not expected, areas of locally heavy rain could produce isolated street flooding. Some storms could also be strong Saturday with gusty winds.
Look for drier weather for much of Sunday before we see another front move in late Sunday night and Monday morning.
