Multiple local teams advance in Boy’s Sweet Sixteen

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Montgomery County and North Laurel advance to the second round of the KHSAA Sweet Sixteen after wins over Lawrence County and Breathitt County respectively on Thursday.
The Jaguars edged the Bobcats 54-53 with the help of two late Reece Davidson free throws and the
Indians beat the Bulldogs by 26 points thanks to Luke Fawns’ team-high 23 tallies.
North Laurel and Montgomery County will face off at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 28.
Great Crossing will play in the game after those two schools square off. The Warhawks beat Daviess County 69-37 on Thursday to advance to the second round.
Danville Christian on the other hand lost to South Oldham 67-44 on Wednesday ending their run at Rupp Arena.
