INDIANAPOLIS -- Arrest warrants have been issued against a pair of juvenile suspects charged as adults for criminal gang activity.
The criminal charges against the 16-year-old and 17-year-old suspects come after seven men were arrested and charged last week.
Prosecutors claim 16-year-old Antho
ny Nanez frequently posed with illegally possessed firearms online.
Police believe the teen also took to social media to sell guns. In one example, a weapon was listed for $950.
Nanez also allegedly posted drugs for sale like prescription pills and mushrooms.
A lengthy 75-page affidavit describes how Nanez and 17-year-old Freddy Martinez were part of a gang called SUR 13.
Sureños, also known as Southern United Raza or Sur 13, is a group of loosely affiliated gangs across the United States.
Both juveniles are now charged as adults with criminal gang activity.

"Anybody that sells drugs is evil because it's destroying our community and people are losing our lives," said community activist Olgen Williams. "These youth they arrested had other things they could do, but they chose to be criminals so the consequences is what they're gonna suffer."
During a series of raids last week, IMPD arrested seven other adult suspects for their involvement in the same gang.
In all, the gang is suspected of illegal sales and trades of firearms, illegal sales of controlled substances, illegal firearm offenses including criminal recklessness with deadly weapon and aggravated battery, intimidation with a deadly weapon and vandalism.
The suspects arrested last week included Alexander Mendoza, Erick Amaro Lozano, Jasiel Cruz-Avina, Austin Juarez Garcia, Ernesto DeJesus Casas, Juan Rodriguez Gardea and Bryan Rodriguez.
Police said the group frequently posed together with a large number of firearms in order to intimidate their rivals.
During the city-wide raids, police seized seven illegally possessed firearms, as well as several pounds of marijuana, cocaine and some pressed pills.
In addition to the illegal drug and weapons sales, the gang is thought to be responsible for numerous shots fired incidents, as well as for graffiti painted all over Haughville.
The group allegedly tagged homes, businesses, fences, trees, power poles and numerous other items with SUR 13. The members obsessively posed with their graffiti.
The group being dismantled makes many in that community feel safer.
"Working together really works. I think people feel better in the community and safer because they see action," said Williams.
Prosecutors claim all nine local suspects took orders from Reynold Delatorre.
Delatorre, known as "Magic", was convicted in 2018 of conspiracy with possession with intent to distribute in federal court. Delatorre is believed to be in charge of Surl3/ Surenos in the Indianapolis area and got a phone inside of the Bureau of Prisons in Lee County Virginia in order to lead the group.
Once they're arrested, a $30,000 bond has been set for the two juvenile suspects. ...read more read less
