A man was fatally shot inside a Chula Vista home Wednesday night and his wife was injured in a shooting that investigators believe stemmed from a domestic dispute. Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting shortly after 8:40 p.m. at a home on Cazorla Avenue near Verin Lane and found a ma n and a woman, both in their 60s, suffering from gunshot wounds, said police Sgt. Anthony Molina. The man had been shot in the torso and was unresponsive. He was transported by paramedics to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His wife was also hospitalized and is undergoing treatment, Molina said. Her condition was not released. It was not clear what led up to the shooting or who placed the 911 call. Police said there were no suspects still being sought. No other information was immediately released.
