CMAC nominated by Country Music Awards for 'Outdoor Venue of the Year'

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — CMAC has been nominated for "Outdoor Venue of the Year" by the Academy of Country Music Awards.
CMAC — also known as Constellation Brands Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center — is nominated alongside Banknh Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire, Saint Augustine Ampithea
tre in St. Augustine, Florida, The Wharf Ampitheatre in Orange Beach, Alabama, and Whitewater Ampitheatre in New Braunfels, Texas.

The venue first opened in 1983 and was founded by Marvin Sands. After Sands passed away in 1999, the venue's new leadership continued his dream to ensure the center would not "go dark." To this day, it is still the home of multiple concerts and shows.
