WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - Jordan Bani-Younes from the Kansas Humane Society brought Verona for Thursday's Pet Project segment.
Verona is the "ultimate lovebug," Younes said. She loves giving kisses and cuddles. Verona is 3 years old and weighs 62 pounds.
KHS says they don't know her history, but
she has shown signs of being housetrained.
Younes also talked about KHS partnering with animal shelters throughout the country for the first annual International Shelter Slumber Pawty. It will be on Saturday, April 5, from 7 to 11 p.m.. Hundreds of animal lovers will be side-by-side with shelter pets to raise funds and awareness for community animals.
"Some of KHS's most dedicated supporters will be live streaming at our facility "pawting" with our amazing shelter residents while raising money to support our programs," Bani-Younes said.
On Sunday, April 6, stop by KHS from 2 to 3:30 p.m. for a puppy and kitten baby shower. During the visit, learn about fostering pets. Anyone is encouraged to donate puppy/kitten formula, as KHS expects several puppies and kittens over the next several months. Here is a wishlist to donate.
