RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Phil Martelli Jr. has been named the 14th head coach of the VCU Men’s Basketball team. A press conference was held as his official introduction on Thursday, March 27. "I can tell you this -- this day, this place, this university, these people ... this is life-altering for me and my family," Martelli said. "Thank you all -- every single one of you -- for your belief, your support, and Go Rams!" The decision was revealed officially by Athletics Director Ed McLaughlin on Wednesday, March 26.
