OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - According to the Oklahoma Allergy and Asthma Clinic, there is a "very high alert" for tree pollen on Thursday, March 27. Officials say this alert was issued because of the Pecan, Pine, Mulberry and Hackberry tree pollen. Some Oak, Willow, Cedar and Ash tree pollen has been detected as well. OAAC has some tips to avoid these allergens: Limit outdoor activities during days with high pollen counts. Keep windows closed (at home or in the car) to keep pollen out. Take a shower after coming indoors. Otherwise, pollen in your hair may bother you all night. Leave shoes outside or just inside the door so that you don’t track pollen inside your home.
