MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Two children and an adult were injured in an apartment fire in Frayser on Thursday morning, according to the Memphis Fire Department. The fire broke out at the Corning Village Apartments at 1420 Briercrest Lane at around 7 a.m. MFD confirmed that one adult and two children were taken to an area hospital in non-critical condition. “I mean, when I woke up, my baby say, 'Somebody's house is on fire.' So, I woke up like, oh, my God, it's on fire," said neighbor Kim T. “At first it was just smoke and then I saw flames.” Next-door neighbors say they only received water damage to their apartment, but they’re thankful there was no loss of life. “It makes me sad when you got kids. I love kids so I just pray for them babies. I pray that they’re okay. So, I don't - I wouldn't wish that on nobody," said Kim.
