If you’ve been looking for a new go-to spot for gorgeous tea drinks, calm vibes, and a serious dose of aesthetic inspiration, Drip Tea Cafe just opened in The Row at Shepherd and Willow and frankly, it’s stunning.
Located in the same upscale shopping center as Saizon, Ampersand, Othersid
e Cafe, and Flora Flower Co., Drip Tea Cafe feels like a place you’d stumble upon in one of L.A.’s trendiest neighborhoods. The second you walk in, you’re greeted by a giant stone seating area built around a stunning indoor tree (yes, a tree), plus natural textures, rich earth tones, gorgeous green marble, and streams of sunlight pouring through floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s modern, calming, and just the right amount of extra. Great for catching up with a friend, bringing your laptop, or, let’s be honest — snapping a few photos.
Drip specializes in loose leaf and fruit teas from around the world, as well as ceremonial grade matcha. I tried the Mango Passion Grove — a green tea infused with fresh mango purée and passion fruit, with strawberry popping boba — and it was everything I wanted on a warm Fresno day: light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. (You can customize your sweetness level, but I left mine as-is and it was perfect, not overly sweet. For reference, I typically go with 25%-50% sweetness elsewhere.) My coworker went with a lavender iced matcha made with dairy-free milk and described it as creamy with a strong lavender-forward flavor. We also ordered a matcha brownie cookie, which was chewy, sweet, and great for sharing.
The staff were friendly and happy to answer our questions about the menu. They’re still in their soft opening phase, but everything ran smoothly. Something that was particularly helpful (and that I hadn’t seen elsewhere) on their screen as you order, it tells you how long the wait for your order will be. Ours was estimated to take ten minutes, though it came out faster than that.
Other standouts on the menu include the Strawberry Matcha Latte, Drip’s take on Thai tea, and their signature fruit teas with real purée and customizable add-ins. They even offer non-dairy milk options and a few fun treats to snack on.
Whether you’re a seasoned tea drinker, matcha-curious, or just looking for a beautiful space to recharge, Drip Tea Cafe is worth a visit. And with The Row continuing to grow, this spot is definitely going to become a go-to for NE Fresno. Hours are 11am to 9pm on weekdays and until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and there’s plenty of parking on-site. Online, advance ordering is available as well.
