SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Thursday calls for chances of rain throughout the day, overcast skies, cloud cover, cool temperatures and moderate wind. Daytime highs will be mostly in the low 60s on the coast and low to mid 60s around the bay and inland. Overnight lows will be in the high 40s to low 50s. There will be a brief dry period Friday and Saturday before rain returns Sunday and intensifies mid-week. A high surf advisory has been issued for west and northwest-facing beaches. Starting Thursday morning, a new incoming swell will generate large breaking waves up to 30 feet, in addition to enhanced rip currents.
