Pfrimmer Pedal Promise program hopes to carry on tradition of gifting bikes so kids can be active outdoors
Mar 27, 2025
The Boys & Girls Club of the Capital Area in Pierre has created a program to honor a long-time supporter of their organization.
The Pfrimmer Pedal Promise honors Dennie Pfrimmer, who was the CEO at Capital Area Counseling Service when they took over management of the daily operations at the Club
. After retiring in 2020, Pfrimmer began purchasing bicycles and gifting them to Club members in need so they could be active outside during the summer.
Prior to his death in September (Sept. 4, 2024), Pfrimmer requested that the tradition of gifting bicycles to kids in need continue, even after the Club became it’s own operating identity again— which happened just before he passed away. Dennie’s wife, Cheryl Stone, and her brother Clark provided the money to kick-off the Pfrimmer Pedal Promise program.
