SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Savannah State baseball team won a mid-week, out-of-conference showdown with Voorhees University on March 26 at Tiger Field. Savannah State scored two runs in the first, fourth and fifth innings. They also added one more run in the sixth to build a 7-0 lead. They surv ived a scare in the top of the seventh. They gave up four runs. In the end, they prevailed 7-4. Next up, the Tigers return to SIAC play for a three-game series with Miles. The Tigers from Fairfield, Ala are in third place in the SIAC.
