ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A woman is dead after she was struck by a vehicle in Rochester Wednesday afternoon, according to police. Officers were called to the scene on North Winton Road near Hillside Avenue around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, where they found the victim critically injured. Life-savi ng aid was performed on the scene before the unidentified woman was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. She later died at the hospital. (WROC/Emalee Burkhard) The driver of the 2024 Chevrolet Suburban that struck the victim remained at the scene, according to police, who said it appeared to be a "tragic accident."
