WELLINGTON, Kan. (KSNW) -- Firefighters spent three hours getting a building fire under control in rural Sumner County on Tuesday. Shortly before 5 p.m., someone reported the fire in an outbuilding at a farm near 40th Avenue North and Perth Road, several miles northwest of Wellington. A large plu me of smoke was seen from a distance. Belle Plaine, Mayfield and Conway Springs firefighters also arrived to help. Three water tankers cycled to keep the fire engines filled.
