ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque Police Department sergeant is lucky to be alive after getting hit by a felon running a red light in a stolen car. The sergeant was responding to a call when his unit was hit at the intersection of Wyoming Blvd. and Copper Ave. Albuquerque man se ntenced for rape of 10-year-old in 1992 According to APD, Andrew Sandoval was the driver of the stolen car. He has a lengthy criminal history and was sentenced to 18 months of supervised probation for a burglary earlier this month.
