ESPAÑOLA, N.M. (KRQE) — The Española Police Department is looking for the driver who struck a bicyclist during a hit-and-run on Tuesday. If you see the white or silver Jeep SUV below, you're asked to call the dispatch center at 505-753-5555. (Photo provided by Española Police Department) The hit-and-run happened on Fairview Lane between Walgreens Pharmacy and the Southwest Cannabis shop at about 5:50 p.m. Police say a woman was lying in the road, bleeding from her head, with her bicycle completely destroyed from the impact of the SUV. A nearby resident stopped to help the woman before she was taken to the hospital. Officers tried to find the suspect vehicle. Surveillance footage revealed it to be the white, or silver, Jeep SUV pictured above. The vehicle was noticeably damaged in the middle area of the front bumper and grill.
