ICE Boston arrests Lebanese man illegally living in the country with criminal charges

LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WLNE) — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said it apprehended a Lebanese man illegally living in the country who faces criminal charges in Massachusetts on Jan. 25.

According to ICE, Al-Asmar entered the country legally but violated the admission terms.
On Feb. 5, 2024, Al-Asmar was arraigned for the sex crime and assault and battery charges in Lakeville District Court.
“Pierre Maurice Al-Asmar has not only shown a blatant disregard for U.S. immigration laws, but he has been charged with horrifically victimizing a Massachusetts resident,” ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston acting Field Office Director Patricia Hyde said. “He represents a significant threat to the people of New England that ICE will not tolerate.”
Al-Asmar is expected to appear in court before a Justice Department immigration judge.
