Man facing animal cruelty charges after nearly 100 dead animals found on property in Sturbridge

STURBRIDGE, Mass. (WLNE) — The Sturbridge Police Department said it and Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Law Enforcement officers arrested a Marlborough man on March 19 after 96 dead animals were discovered on a property he was renting in Sturbridge.

o was arraigned on 96 charges of animal cruelty and 96 charges of animal cruelty by custodian.
He was held without bail Wednesday pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for April 1.
Chickens, geese, pigs, ducks, and rabbits were among the dead animals found on the property.
Police also seized an adult dog, which was placed into the care of the MSPCA.
The department added that Sebastiano previously pled guilty to animal cruelty charges in 2021 and was sentenced to probation.
