The flyer circulating on social media claims there will be arts, c
rafts, live music and food at the event in May, but police say the Boys and Girls Club isn't hosting any such event.
Police urged people not to send any vendor fees or provide any kind of personal information.
Sgt. John Zaborski told 12 News on Wednesday that no victims have come forward, so police are not currently investigating.
He noted that the department has not seen a scheme like this before.
Anyone who thinks they may have fallen victim to this scam should call Warwick police at (401) 468-4200.
