Three men arrested, facing seconddegree murder charges for deadly beating at Enclave Event Center

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The Oklahoma City Police Department has arrested Mario Dewayne Glover, Kaleb Harris, and Jarmey Dewayne Jones for allegedly beating a man to death at the Enclave Event Center Saturday morning.
A fight took place outside the venue involving a large crowd. When officers arr
ived, they found the victim, 47-year-old Tommy Benson, unconscious and bloodied.

News 4 obtained body camera footage from Jones' arrest on Monday, in what looks like a traffic stop.
Benson is being remembered by family and friends as a good man.
His family said, "He was a beloved husband, father, and papa, who was taken from us in a senseless act of violence."

Authorities say the fight was physical, including hands and feet.
We've since learned Benson was hit in the head with a chair and rushed to a hospital, where he later died.
"There was a concert going on at the time of the fight," said Lieutenant Dustin Motley with the Oklahoma City Police Department.
The organizer of the concert shared his condolences to Benson's family on social media.
The concert included a lineup of well-known R&B artists performing.
Terry Brayton lives in a neighborhood near the event center, saying it's always busy, but he's never known such violence to take place there.
"The place is packed all the time and the music goes on way like, you know, in the wee hours or whatever, but never seen anything happen here," said Brayton.
News 4 reached out to the General Manager of the Enclave Event Center and the family's attorney, and are waiting to hear back.
All three suspects have been arrested for second-degree murder. They have not been formally charged. ...read more read less
