HOOKER, Okla. (KFOR) — An Oklahoma bride-to-be's bachelorette trip turned into a nightmare and something she will never forget, all for the wrong reasons.
Canada Rinaldi and her bridesmaids went to Dallas this past weekend. It was the best weekend of her life, but all that happiness was ripped
from her in an instant.
"It was just supposed to be a lot of fun and I think everyone is just really traumatized now. I think it's really scary," said Rinaldi.
The bride-to-be and her friends were leaving a bar and waiting for an Uber in Deep Ellum. She says all of a sudden a random man knocked her unconscious.
"I remember waking up in the ambulance and just asking 'what happened?,'" said Rinaldi.

She was left with a concussion, a broken nose, three broken teeth and eight stitches to her face. Rinaldi is also left with the emotional scars.
"I think I just stood in front of the mirror and cried for a while, but yeah, I'm not really looking at myself if I can help it," said Rinaldi.

She is now trying to heal, when she should be counting down the days to her April 26 wedding.
All she hopes for is that the attacker will be caught and arrested.
"Make him pay for what he did because I would just hate for him to get away with it and think, oh, I can just do this whenever I want to," said Rinaldi.
Nearly fatal shooting and beating in OKC still unsolved four years later
Police say they are investigating.
Rinaldi encourages others to be mindful of their surroundings.
"I don't think we could have prevented it. Wrong place, wrong time, but always be aware, always be aware of what could happen and the areas that you are going to," said Rinaldi.
The bride-to-be says she is left with over $10,000 in medical expenses from the ambulance, hospital stay and ongoing care.
