Two males were detained in the 400 block of Baltimore Street and the 400 block of Buntyn Avenue. One of the suspects was taken to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition.
Police say that the detained male in non-critical condition was struck by a vehicle, and the driver remained on the scene.
Police held a news briefing after the arrests were made, but did not release any details about the robberies. They said they were still trying to determine if the Sycamore View and Summer robberies were connected.
They said the two taken into custody were responsible for other business robberies.
The Sycamore View Family Dollar was closed for business late Wednesday afternoon. An employee said he was waiting for a security guard to show up before opening his doors.
