Black Hills Energy announces natural gas bill reduction

(COLORADO) — Black Hills Energy announced that customers will see a reduction of between about 3.4% to 23% in their natural gas bills starting on Tuesday, April 1.
According to Black Hills Energy, the company filed the 2025 second quarter Gas Cost Adjustment (GCA) with the Colorado Public Uti
lities Commission (CPUC), and the change was approved on Wednesday, March 26, reflecting the changing natural gas cost in all three base rate areas in Colorado.

Black Hills Energy stated that the rate at which customers' natural gas costs drop on their bill will vary depending on where in Colorado they live. The company said that the price of natural gas is known as a "pass-through cost," meaning that there are no added fees.
