NORTHWOOD, ND (KXNET) — One person died and another was injured in a crash in Grand Forks County. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, it happened around 9:30 a.m. on March 26, where Highway 18 and 4th Ave Northeast intersect, just five miles east of Northwood. A 16-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Silverado east on 4th Ave NE when he entered the intersection to cross Highway 18 and hit the side of a Buick Riviera. The driver of the Buick, a 66-year-old man from Hatton, died at the scene while the 16-year-old was brought to Altru Hospital with authorities are calling non-life-threatening injuries.
