BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Kern County Public Works division is set to host a bulky waste collection event in Ridgecrest on April 5. According to county officials, the collection event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon at the Leroy Jackson Park, located at 300 East French Avenue. The ev ent is for Kern County residents to drop off their residential bulky waste for free. Bakersfield police search for 15-year-old last seen on Efada Drive At the event, county officials will be picking up household appliances such as refrigerators, water heaters, mattresses, furniture, electronics, BBQ grills and other large household items, free of charge.
