Worker stuck in basin at WSSC Potomac Water Filtration Plant

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Crews in Montgomery County were working to rescue a worker who had gotten stuck after falling into a basin at the WSSC Potomac Water Filtration Plant on Wednesday afternoon.

(MCFRS) said officials were dispatched to the filtration plant at 12200 River Road for the report of an injured person in a confined space.

There, crews found a worker who had fallen half a foot into a large basin in a permit-required area. Officials were working to remove them for evaluation, but they reportedly had non-life-threatening injuries.
