San Diego State Aztec guard declares for NBA Draft

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- San Diego State Aztecs men's basketball player Miles Byrd is looking to make his next move to the professional level.
Byrd announced his decision to enter the NBA Draft Tuesday evening on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“First and foremost, I’d like to thank my fami
ly, friends, and coaches for putting me in the position I am in today. I am blessed beyond measure and forever grateful for their guidance. After doing some thinking with my circle, I have decided to enter my name into the 2025 NBA draft while maintaining my college eligibility,” he said.

The six-foot-seven guard out of Stockton, California averaged 12.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists during the 2024-2025 season. He recorded a season-high 25 points against Colorado State on Jan. 14 in a 75-60 win.
Byrd, who arrived at San Diego State in 2022, chose the Aztecs over the likes of Villanova, Washington, Minnesota, Saint Mary’s and Colorado State among others.
