Detectives need help with 1988 Sedgwick County murder

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- Sedgwick County detectives are not giving up on solving a 36-year-old murder case. On Wednesday, they asked the public for help.
The case dates back to Sept. 14, 1988. The body of 19-year-old Michael J. Fowler was found on the side of the road in the 9000 block of N. Olive
r, several miles north of Wichita.
Fowler had been shot multiple times.
Detectives hoped two of his acquaintances could help, but the case remained unsolved. Those acquaintances, Daryl Weaver and Eddie Jason Coolinge, who sometimes used the last name Hale, have since died.

If you knew any of the three men and have information related to the case, the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office wants to hear from you. Detectives say any information, no matter how small, could be crucial to solving the case.
