BRYAN COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) -- The Hyundai Metaplant, one of the biggest economic projects in Georgia’s history, has officially opened its doors. Today's festivities mark the culmination of a project nearly three years in the making. Originally announced in 2022, the Metaplant is expected to c reate 14,000 direct jobs in the area. Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and Representative Buddy Carter (GA-01) are on hand to commemorate the opening of the over $7 billion facility, along with Hyundai executives.
