Summit County Sheriff’s Office brings back Citizens’ Academy for 2025

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office has announced the 2025 Citizens’ Academy, where community members can gain an inside look at the daily operations of the Sheriff’s Office.Participants will have a chance to engage in both classroom presentations and hands-on training, the Sheriff’s Office s
aid. They’ll have a chance to experience what it’s like to train like a deputy. Training topics include SWAT, investigations, patrol functions, dispatch, search and rescue, mounted patrol and more. The academy will start in June and run through early August, with one evening class per week and a Saturday class dedicated to Emergency Vehicle Operations Day.Those interested can email CitizenAcademy@summitcountyutah.gov to be added to the interest list.
