HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Changes have been made to the bond of Erin Strotman, a former nurse at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) who is accused of hurting three babies who were under the hospital's care. A status hearing was held for Strotman -- who faces a t otal of eight charges in connection to the injuries of three babies -- in the morning on Wednesday, March 26. During the hearing, Strotman's bond was amended to allow phone calls and in-person meetings with her boyfriend. If they meet in person, another adult must be present to supervise their interactions. In addition, Strotman's bond was changed to require regular drug screenings to ensure no drugs are being used aside from prescription medications. SEE ALL COVERAGE: Babies injured, abused at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital’s NICU According to court records, Strotman faces the following eight charges in connection to incidents that allegedly occurred on the following dates: Abusing a child to cause serious injury and malicious wounding on Oct. 29, 2024 Two counts of abusing a child to cause serious injury, abusing a child with disregard for their life and two counts of malicious wounding on Nov. 10, 2024 Abusing a child with disregard for their life on Nov. 13, 2024 According to court records, these charges are related to injured babies identified on court documents as "Y.H.," "L.M-B" and "A.V." 8News previously learned that seven babies were found with “unexplainable fractures” in the hospital’s NICU between 2023 and 2024.
