'Keep Route 66 Beautiful': City of Edmond hosts tire disposal event April 5

EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) - The City of Edmond is asking its resident to participate in the Keep Oklahoma Beautiful Tire Reclamation event on Saturday, April 5.
Residents can expect to drop off old tires at the Edmond Electric Headquarters for free. City leaders say, proof of Edmond residency is requ
ired to participate.

To drop off tires for reclamation, residents must follow these requirements:
Bring a copy of their utility bill or a driver’s license will be required to verify that they live within the City limits of Edmond.
All tires must have rims removed. Only the tire will be accepted.
No tractor tires or large implement tires.
No businesses. This event is for residents only.

Oklahoma Co. Warrant Clearing Event April 4
City leaders say, the event runs April 1-5 in Davenport, Stroud, Bristow, Kelleyville, Sapulpa and Edmond cleaning up the 100 greatest miles of Route 66.
