MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A woman and a man were left injured after a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 40 Wednesday morning. Officers say they responded to a three-vehicle crash involving a stalled car and an overturned tractor-trailer on I-40 and Whitten Road. A woman was taken f rom the scene to Regional One Hospital in critical condition, and a man was taken non-critical. Memphis Police say all eastbound lanes of traffic on I-40 at Whitten Road are shut down. Westbound lanes of traffic are not shut down, but this will cause delays. Alternative routes can be found here. Officers say that around 10:50 a.m., they responded to a hit-and-run on I-40 and Sycamore View involving a tractor-trailer. They say they are unsure if this incident was traffic-related. But no injuries were reported. At this time, it is still unclear what caused the crash. This is still an ongoing investigation.
