MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- An "accidental" shooting in Nutbush left a man severely injured early Wednesday morning, according to Memphis Police. Officers responded to the incident at a home in the 3800 block of Vernon Avenue at around 3 a.m. An 18-year-old man had been shot after reports say a firearm "ac cidentally" went off. A 15-year-old reportedly told police that he and his cousin were hanging out when the power went out. The 18-year-old victim stood up in the dark, grabbed the gun that was lying on the bed, and accidentally fired a round, hitting himself.
