SUAMICO, Wis. (WFRV) - A new chapter has been written as the search for two otters who escaped their habitat at the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park and are on the loose continues. NEW Zoo & Adventure Park posted an update on Wednesday morning, saying they are continuing efforts to retrieve Louie and Opheila, who went missing on Thursday, March 20, after they left their habitat through a breach in buried fencing. 10,000+ cans distributed in Wisconsin and Illinois recalled by Coca-Cola In the video above, provided by NEW Zoo & Adventure Park, one of the otters is seen repeatedly in the same area showing interest in one of the traps designed to catch them and return them to their habitat. Unfortunately, the post added that raccoons in the area have made things difficult, setting off one of the traps before an otter tried to enter it. Officials now have 'raccoon proof' traps to increase success rates.
