NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — A public webinar about the new Lead and Copper Rule will be hosted by the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality (NDDEQ).
This webinar will be at 4 p.m. on April 8, and people will learn about the new rule and how it'll impact communities across the state.

he Lead and Copper Rule is meant to protect public health by reducing exposure to both in drinking water.
NDDEQ Environmental Scientist Sandi Washek will outline the objectives and talk about important topics.

The objectives of the Lead and Copper Rule
An overview of the service line inventory process
Understanding what a water service line is
How to identify the materials used in water service lines
How to determine if "unknown" materials are present on the private end of the service line
Where to find additional resources and information
People are encouraged to participate and learn about how this will affect them, their families, and their communities.
After the presentation, there will be a Q&A session.
