“For the over tens of millions of travelers we serve annually, art installations around the airport share the character of Austin and the city’s vision for the future. As that vision expands with the Journey With AUS airport expansion, so too does our art,” the city said.
AIPP Phase III opportunities include installations in:
restroom entries (9 sets)
amenity lounges (x2)
spaces for children (x2)
“Together, art and music present a collective experiential language of authenticity and creativity that speaks uniquely to Austin’s vibe," says Constance Y. White, Airport Guest Services Art Music Manager. "Whether arriving or departing, our passengers are imparted with unforgettable impressions of the amazing spirit of Austin and a desire to return through the airport to see, hear and be a part of our vibe.”
Artist’s applications should be submitted by March 31, according to the city.
These public art opportunities are funded through airport revenue and revenue bonds, according to the city. ...read more read less
