Midland to headline 2025 Firestone Legends Day concert
Mar 26, 2025
INDIANAPOLIS -- The evening before the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500, a Grammy-nominated country group will headline the Firestone Legends Day concert in downtown Indianapolis.
Midland, known for its honky-tonk sounds and songs like "Drinkin' Problem," will perform at the Everwise Amphit
heater at White River State Park on May 24, the evening before this year's race. This comes after Riley Green headlined last year's Legends Day concert at the downtown music venue.
According to a news release, tickets for this year's concert will be available for purchase starting at 10 a.m. Friday on Live Nation's website.
“On the final day before the Indy 500, the countdown to the green flag is full of unmatched energy and excitement,” INDYCAR and Indianapolis Motor Speedway President J. Douglas Boles said in the release. “While fans enjoy the honky-tonk sounds of Midland at the Firestone Legends Day Concert at a fantastic venue in downtown Indianapolis, IMS will be ready to welcome more than 350,000 fans at 6 a.m. the following morning."

Based in Dripping Springs, Texas, Midland has been one of country music's most in-demand acts since 2014. Since the band's No. 1 Billboard Top Country Albums debut "Let It Roll," Midland's classic country sound, paired with steel guitar and melodies, have brought fans together for more than a decade.
The band was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2018 for the song "Drinkin' Problem," including Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song.
The Legends Day festivities will also include the 109th Indianapolis 500 Public Drivers' Meeting, as well as autograph sessions at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, along with the AES 500 Festival Parade and the concert in downtown Indianapolis.
