WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The southbound Interstate 135 off-ramp to Pawnee will close starting April 2, according to a Kansas Department of Transportation traffic update. The closure is expected to last around 20 days. The ramp closure is part of a $39.5 million City of Wichita project to replace a deteriorating sewer collection line built in 1954. The city is installing new works there and along Southeast Boulevard to improve access and maintenance for the infrastructure that handles nearly two-thirds of Wichita’s wastewater.
