MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A McDonald's manager says she was forced to defend herself after an angry customer came through the drive-thru window and attacked her.
Kaitlin Brantley was out of jail on bond in the 2023 attack of a teenager at the Cheddar's in Cordova when police say she physically assaulted
Tiffany Sherrod.

Sherrod said Brantley was a passenger in a vehicle that came through the drive-thru on Feb. 7. She said Brantley was upset because she got the wrong order.
Sherrod said she tried to tell Brantley she was the manager and that she would fix the order, but Brantley went on a rampage.

"She told me she was going to beat my a--," said Sherrod.
Sherrod told WREG she began fighting off Brantley and thought her life was in danger.
Video recorded in the store shows Sherrod hitting Brantley with a coffee pot.
"Whatever she was on, she wouldn't let me go," said Sherrod. "I had to protect myself."
Sherrod said Brantley finally let her go and began trashing the restaurant. Police said Brantley damaged displays, monitors, and food items. Sherrod captured video of the mess left behind.
"She ended up leaving the way she came in," said Sherrod.
Brantley was charged with assault and vandalism, and last week her bond was revoked in the Cheddar's case after Sherrod addressed the court.
"I let them know that no matter how I tried to fix her order and, you know, accommodate, she was not going for it. She didn't want to hear it," Sherrod said.

The mother of the victim from the Cheddar's attack requested that Sherrod appear in court.
The Shelby County District Attorney's Office said Brantley posed a danger to the community. Sherrod agrees.
"I don't think she needs to be free," she said.
Brantley is charged with three others in the Cheddar's case. She is scheduled to be back in court on April 24. ...read more read less
